Position Summary
We are seeking either a Chemist II or Chemist III within the QC Laboratory to conduct routine sample analysis and prepare with and without the use of instrumentation following official USP methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Builds their knowledge and skills in evaluation of the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts routine analytical studies of samples and preparation with and without the use of instrumentation following official USP methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
- Testing includes but is not limited to pH, water determination, density, titrations, viscosity, dissolution, TLC, FTIR, UV, HPLC, and GC.
- Assists in preparation, submission and filing reports on sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation and other projects
- Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and trouble-shoots laboratory instruments / equipment
- Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations
- Maintains Laboratory Notebook
- Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related Science discipline
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following wet chemistry techniques; assay titrations, TLC, water determination, FTIR, HPLC, GC
- Prefer OpenLab and LabX knowledge

Work Environment
• Lab based role in a GMP QC laboratory

Expected compensation for this role will be between $65,000 and $85,000 on a full-time basis plus applicable health and ancillary benefits offered by the company. Actual compensation will range depending on a number of factors.
