Senior Engineer- Process Development

Serán is seeking a Senior Engineer to joing their Process Development team who will support process development of pharmaceutical drug products from early clinical manufactures through late stage process validation. This position will require aptitude for hands-on execution, hypothesis-driven experimental design, and data analysis. A clear communication style and emerging aptitude for strategic thinking will allow the Senior Engineer to navigate important decisions with project sponsors. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with experts in formulation and product design and analytical sciences to form a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary project team that consistently meets milestones and objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities- May oversee part of the daily workflow of the department
- May provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
- May coordinate the work of other team members
- May provide technical guidance and direction
- May provide mentorship
- Independently develops experimental protocols and templates based on project need
- Independently summarizes, reports, and analyzes data to draw conclusions and proposes next steps
- Identifies out of trend data, forms hypothesis and investigates
- Evaluates data and draws conclusions across data sets/projects
- Contributes to laboratory, instrument, and/or equipment maintenance and coordination
- Communicates technical information to internal team
- Independently communicates technical information to external partners
- Independently leads projects
- Authors technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance
- Develops and manages workplans
- Responsibilities may increase in scope to align with company initiatives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams

- Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical product and / or process development

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work in cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience with advanced laboratory and data analysis skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Accepts feedback from a variety of sources and constructively manages conflict
- B.S. in Science or Engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience,
- M.S. in Science or Engineering discipline with 3+ years of experience, or
- PhD in Science or Engineering discipline, with preference given to candidates with relevant industrial experience
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Adheres to consistent and predictable in-person attendance
