The Conversion team members will be responsible for converting pork carcasses into specific cuts and products, ensuring high-quality standards, and adhering to safety and sanitation protocols. This role requires expertise in meat processing, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meat Conversion: Convert pork carcasses into various cuts and products as per company standards and customer specifications.
• Cutting and Trimming: Utilize knives, saws, and other processing equipment to cut, trim, and portion meat products.
• Product Handling: Manage the handling, sorting, and separation of meat and by-products, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Packaging: Vacuum package boneless meat products. Place products in poly vacuum bags, use the vacuum machine, and transfer the packaged meat to a stainless steel cart for transportation.
• Final Processing: Label and box the processed loins. Convey boxed products to the scale and banding station for final packaging.

Physical Requirements:

• Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work in variable temperatures ranging from 10°F to 100°F and in wet conditions.
• Knife Skills: Proficiency in using knives for trimming meat.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push boxes weighing up to 60 lbs.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in meat processing or a similar role is advantageous but not required. Training will be provided.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and proficiency in operating machinery.
• Physical Ability: Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in varying environmental conditions.
