Shuttle Maintenance
Location: Medstar Washington Medical Center
Hourly Rate: $20.00/HR
Schedule: FT Monday to Friday (4:30am-12:30pm)
Requirements: MUST have CDL with passenger endorsement + DOT medical card
Spirit of the Position:
The Shuttle Maintenance is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, cleaning and maintaining shuttle vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in addition to completing lot maintenance and upkeep projects. This role supports daily transportation services by minimizing downtime and maintaining vehicles according to company and manufacturer standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Repair brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC and electrical repairs.
Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet DOT and company standards.
Complete work orders and maintain records accurately and timely.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all shuttle vehicles comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred.
Proven experience as an automotive or diesel mechanic.
CDL Valid drivers license (passenger endorsement is required)
ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Must obtain a DOT certification in order to operate company shuttles.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various shop conditions.
