About the Role
ON Site is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to support on-site event execution within a hospitality venue environment. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio visual equipment while delivering a high level of service to clients, guests, and venue partners.
This position plays a key role in ensuring successful event delivery through technical execution, attention to detail, and strong communication. The ideal candidate brings a service-driven mindset, technical aptitude, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily setup, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment for events
- Ensure all equipment is tested, functioning properly, and event-ready
- Provide on-site technical support during events and troubleshoot as needed
- Maintain inventory, organization, and quality control of all audio visual equipment
- Deliver exceptional customer service to venue partners and end-user clients
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and venue staff to support event execution
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent ON Site at all times
- Follow all safety standards and operational procedures
- Complete required daily paperwork and training requirements
- Support event coverage including evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed
- Assist leadership in achieving goals related to revenue growth, cost control, and service excellence
- Contribute to team success and support additional operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- One year of experience in hospitality, customer service, or related field
- Exposure to audio visual, music, recording, or technical production environments preferred
- Basic computer proficiency required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
- Ability to operate audio visual and office equipment with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive movements as needed
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors based on event requirements
