At Northwest Hardwoods (NWH), you’ll play an important role in keeping our equipment, vehicles, and operations running safely and efficiently. As an experienced Diesel Mechanic II, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel-powered equipment and vehicles used throughout our operations. You’ll work closely with the manufacturing and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, keep equipment operating reliably, and help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Requirements:What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and drivetrains
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on diesel trucks, log trailers, semi-trailers, and conveyors
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly and effectively
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Work safely while following all company safety procedures
- Assist with fabrication and other mechanical projects as needed
- Operate equipment as needed
- Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain work area appearance and safety
What You Bring:
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys working with their hands. You should take pride in your work, be comfortable troubleshooting and fixing equipment, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly.
Required:
· Effectively communicate with service manager and coworkers
· Must have a minimum of 3 years of Diesel Mechanic experience
· Keep pace with industry standards to make sound recommendations
· Must be able to perform strenuous and heavy work
· Must be flexible in work hours
· Must follow NWH Attendance Policy
Preferred:
· Previous experience in lumber yard, sawmill
