POSITION OVERVIEW
Millborn Seeds is looking for a Seasonal Ag Equipment Operator – Fertile, MN to support the operations harvesting needs from August through October. This is a hands-on, role that supports the day-to-day harvest activities occurring on Millborn's seed production acres. This position works alongside experienced team members to assist with in-field harvest, seed handling, hauling, and storing, and basic ag equipment operation.
This role is well-suited for someone looking for seasonal employment during the peak harvest months and who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and being involved in all aspects of farm operations, while gaining practical, real-world experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate farm equipment such as tractors and wagons to load and haul seed
- Support harvest operations, including staging, handling, and post-harvest field activities
- Perform routine equipment checks as needed, basic maintenance, and general farm upkeep
- Support safe and efficient operation of equipment during the harvest period
- Hands-on farming experience, preferably in seed production or row crops
- Quick learner with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Not afraid of hard work—ready to jump in and contribute wherever needed
- Ability from August 1 - October 31 to work long hours in the field as needed, including weekends
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Basic proficiency in operating farm equipment, including tractors, augers, conveyers, etc. a plus
- Valid driver’s license
