About the role
As a Systems Engineer I, you'll join a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing and supporting industrial control systems and automation solutions. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in systems engineering while gaining hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial networks, and project execution. You'll work closely with senior engineers and project teams to develop technical skills and contribute to successful project delivery.
What you'll do
- Assist with the design, configuration, and testing of industrial control systems.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical reports.
- Support system integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Assist with requirements development, configuration management, and system validation.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, and clients throughout project execution.
- Follow company engineering standards, quality processes, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Continue developing technical knowledge through hands-on project experience and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 0–3 years of systems engineering, automation, or industrial controls experience.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, SCADA, industrial networking, and control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites for project support and commissioning.
