Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority owned law firm in the United States, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Orlando office, supporting our Automotive Liability Defense practice. This is a full-time, in-office position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the RoleThe Associate Attorney will represent clients in a variety of automotive liability and insurance defense matters. This position is ideal for an attorney with 2–5 years of litigation experience who is looking to expand their practice while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Manage a caseload involving automotive liability and insurance defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Prepare and respond to written discovery
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
- Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 2–5 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Automotive liability defense experience preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience handling hearings, depositions, and motion practice
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment
