This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Solution & Claims Specialist - Export based in United States.

The Customer Solution & Claims Specialist plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by managing complex order fulfillment, export coordination, and claims resolution processes.
This position serves as a critical connection between customers, sales teams, logistics partners, and internal supply chain functions.
The role focuses on ensuring accurate orders, timely deliveries, efficient returns management, and proactive issue resolution.
You will help optimize operational performance by identifying process improvements and reducing service disruptions.
Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, this position requires strong analytical skills, ownership, and cross-functional communication.
The ideal candidate will bring supply chain expertise, customer focus, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:

The Customer Solution & Claims Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end order processes, supporting export operations, resolving customer issues, and improving service performance through collaboration and data-driven decision-making.

  • Manage customer orders from entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and on-time fulfillment while resolving exceptions and operational challenges.
  • Monitor account-specific issues, blocked orders, inventory constraints, and delivery risks while coordinating solutions with customers and internal teams.
  • Partner with transportation, logistics, demand planning, supply chain, and fulfillment teams to optimize shipment execution and distribution efficiency.
  • Coordinate ocean bookings, air freight shipments, carrier activities, and delivery requirements to meet customer expectations and operational deadlines.
  • Track open orders and maintain visibility into order status, delays, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Support export processes by preparing and managing required documentation, including certificates, shipping documents, and compliance-related materials.
  • Manage customer returns, refusals, and claims by reviewing requests, validating policy compliance, and coordinating appropriate approvals.
  • Analyze return and service issues to identify trends, recommend improvements, and reduce future operational disruptions.
  • Provide timely communication and updates to customers and stakeholders regarding order progress, challenges, and mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience in supply chain operations, customer solutions, or related fields, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage complex workflows independently.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain functions such as order management, distribution, inventory management, transportation, or demand and supply planning.
  • Previous export experience and familiarity with international shipping processes preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, VLOOKUPs, and PivotTables.
  • Working knowledge of export operations, documentation requirements, and logistics processes.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or Chinese are preferred.
  • Candidates located on Long Island, NY are strongly preferred for occasional in-person meetings and training needs.
