Summary:The Banquet Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during banquet functions and special events while delivering exceptional guest service. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations, and supporting event setup and breakdown to create a seamless guest experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Greets guests in a friendly and professional manner while providing prompt beverage service during banquet events.
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, event specifications, and guest requests.
- Verifies guest identification and ensures responsible alcohol service in accordance with local and company policies.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
- Monitors inventory levels and communicates restocking needs to management.
- Assists with banquet event setup and breakdown, including bar stations, tables, linens, and equipment.
- Handles cash and/or operates point-of-sale systems accurately when required.
- Responds professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Supports banquet team members and collaborates with staff to ensure successful event execution.
- Adheres to all safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible event schedules as needed.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy items.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a server is preferred.
- May need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Courteous and attentive to guests.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
