Position Summary:
This role is a technical professional with a broad understanding of video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and other related physical security solutions. This role is primarily focused on the programming, configuration, functionality, and user experience of physical security systems. Working closely with customers, contractors, the Project Manager, and implementation teams, this role helps deliver video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and other related solutions in alignment with project requirements. They are expected to maintain quality standards and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
- Program, configure, test, and support the implementation of video surveillance, access control, and related physical security systems.
- Assist with system setup, device configuration, software programming, and functional validation.
- Review project documentation and coordinate with field and project teams to ensure successful system deployment.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues related to system performance, programming, or functionality.
- Work directly with customers to support implementation, user experience, and system usability.
- Collaborate with technicians, Foremen, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain quality and documentation standards throughout implementation activities.
- Participate in system commissioning, turnover, and customer orientation activities.
- Stay current on relevant technologies, products, and manufacturer platforms.
- Provide professional service and contribute to a positive customer experience.
- Regular travel to customer sites is required to support system implementation, programming, commissioning, and customer engagement. Travel may include local daily travel, regional travel, and occasional overnight stays depending on project and customer needs.
- Meet annual billable hour goal, as defined by HBS. This number may change over time as the business evolves.

Required Experience:
- 3-5+ years experience with Access Control, Surveillance, and/or Low Voltage Cabling systems and associated hardware/software.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience programming, configuring, and testing video surveillance, access control, paging, and/or related systems.
- Experience reading and understanding project requirements and technical drawings
- Experience with IT network configuration
Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications required:
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic Knowledge of Computers
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
Preferred Skills, Education and/or Certifications:
- Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
