Material Handler Lead in Fort Lupton, Colorado at Sphere Renewables LLC

Overall goal: Efficiently distribute production materials and deliverables to designated locations. Accurately load outbound goods to maintain one hundred percent [100%] on time and accurate delivery performance. Proactively maintain equipment to minimize downtime.

Role Objectives:

• Maintain an organized production area and yard to ensure worker safety.
• Minimize internal line downs due to material and transport rack shortages on production lines.
• Ensure safe and accurate loading of outbound goods.
• Maintain fleet and heavy equipment.
• Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
• Execute the company policy.
• Ensure full compliance with legal OSHA and ISO requirements.

Duties and responsibilities:

Material Handling

• Strategically plan and manage material handling operations.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities.
• Coordinate and communicate with production supervisor and warehouse supervisor the movement of material to and from the warehouse and the production lines.
• Direct and manage the safe loading of assemblies and material onto shipping racks and trucks.
• Ensure loads are properly strapped and flagged as needed.
• Direct and manage the inspection of products for defects and damage prior to truck departure.
• Assist with inbound unloading as needed.
• Identify issues in inefficiency and suggest improvements.
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.

Lead Responsibilities

Coach and oversee material handling employees by:
• Enforcing company policies and guidelines.
• Assist in hiring new material handler employees.
• Resolves issues and disputes between material handler employees.
• Assists employees by offering personal growth opportunities.
• Communicate expectations to material handler team members & evaluate their performance.

Environmental, Health, And Safety

• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]
• Participate in company sponsored safety training
• Follow safe work practices
• Report unsafe/hazardous conditions
• Comply with the company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policy [E002].
