Job Description
At Triosim, our people build the equipment, processes, and production lines that keep essential industries running. We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of how work gets done on our Fairburn floor — designing new production work centers, modernizing existing ones, and bringing practical automation and data-driven improvement to the plant. If you're energized by turning a blank slate into a running line, and you want your engineering to show up in real throughput, real quality, and real capacity — this role is built for you.
The Manufacturing Engineer will lead the design, launch, modernization, and optimization of production work centers at Triosim Fairburn, with emphasis on Lean flow, automation, process capability, and scalable throughput. This role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with practical implementation of automation and AI-enabled process improvements to increase capacity, reduce waste, improve repeatability, and strengthen operational performance.
What You Will Do
• Design and launch two new production work centers within the next 6 to 9 months.
• Update, optimize, and automate existing thermal spray work centers to improve efficiency, consistency, and throughput.
• Expand burn-off, curing, and grit blasting capacity — specifying, justifying, acquiring, installing, and ramping up new equipment.
• Develop robust, efficient, and validated manufacturing methods that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Create clear process documentation, operating standards, and implementation plans that support sustained performance long after launch.
What You Will Bring
• Demonstrated experience creating, installing, and optimizing Lean work centers that improve flow, labor efficiency, ergonomics, and productivity.
• Proven ability to modernize manufacturing processes through automation, controls integration, data-driven monitoring, and practical AI applications that improve process stability, decision-making, and performance.
• Strong manufacturing engineering fundamentals: process design, standard work, capacity planning, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement.
• A track record of taking projects from concept to implementation — layout development, equipment selection, workflow design, validation, and startup support.
• A hands on mindset and comfort working directly on the production floor to solve technical and operational problems in real time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent hands-on manufacturing engineering experience may be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing environments involving coating, thermal spray, industrial processing, or engineered production cells is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods such as standard work, visual management, 5S, waste reduction, and work-cell design is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with process validation, equipment commissioning, and production ramp-up is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technicians, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
What Sets You Apart
• Experience training, coaching, and developing technicians and operators in new methods, equipment, and disciplined process execution.
• Experience partnering with quality functions to build and maintain ISO compliant manufacturing processes, documentation, and controls.
• Ability to work directly with vendors to develop equipment specifications and process designs that are efficient, cost effective, and validated before production release.
• Experience leading or supporting capital equipment projects, process qualification, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and outside suppliers.
What You Will Learn With Us
You don't need to walk in the door knowing our industry — you need to walk in ready to learn it fast. We'll build your expertise in:
• Surface preparation methods and standards for coated or engineered surfaces.
• SSPC requirements and related surface preparation practices.
• TSS thermal spray process knowledge, terminology, and application practices.
• Polymer application methods and associated process controls.
Ready to Build with Triosim?
Triosim is an industrial services company built on a simple idea: show up, do the work right, and serve the customer. As a Manufacturing Engineer here, you'll have real ownership over how our production lines are designed and run — not a narrow lane, but a genuine mandate to modernize how we make things. You'll work alongside a plant team that values practical problem-solving over paperwork, and leadership that backs capital investment when the business case is sound.
If you're a manufacturing engineer who'd rather be on the floor solving a flow problem than stuck behind a desk, and you want to see your work centers stand up and run, we want to hear from you!
Apply today and help us build the next generation of the Fairburn plant.
