SAP Technical Administrator in United States Embassy at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Technical Administrator based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to manage and optimize enterprise SAP environments supporting critical business operations across on-premises and cloud infrastructures. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of complex SAP landscapes while leading system upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives. Working alongside cross-functional technical teams, you will contribute to infrastructure modernization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement efforts. The position is ideal for professionals with deep SAP Basis expertise who enjoy solving complex technical challenges and driving reliable, scalable enterprise platforms in a fully remote environment.

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver environments.
• Manage SAP HANA databases, including system copies, refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing performance optimization.
• Plan and execute cloud migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud while supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Oversee SAP transport management, performance tuning, monitoring, system security, and patch management.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure processes using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution of technical incidents.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures, and system standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve SAP platform reliability and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis or SAP Platform Administration.
• Strong expertise with SAP HANA, S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and NetWeaver.
• Hands-on experience performing SAP upgrades, cloud migrations, transport management, and high availability/disaster recovery implementations.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage enterprise SAP environments independently while collaborating effectively across technical teams.
• SAP Basis, SAP HANA, or SAP S/4HANA certifications are preferred.
• Experience with SAP RISE/GROW, SAP Cloud ALM, SAP BTP, Infrastructure as Code, or regulated environments (SOX, GxP, PCI) is considered an advantage.
