Assistant Nursing Care Managers play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.
This position will have the opportunity to provide nursing care in a 20-bed unit as part of the Union Hospital Certified Primary Stroke Center, specializing in the care of patients experiencing stroke or stroke symptoms, and provides focused care for open-heart patients transitioning to home and diabetes management.

Essential Job Duties:
- Monitor and ensure the quality of patient care
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of care and safety
- Oversees staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts and managing staff shortages
- Provides guidance for the staff in meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients and families
- Assists with orientation of new staff
- Performs job duties as described in RN job description
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
- Must have Indiana RN license
- Previous RN experience preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care nursing setting
- Demonstrate leadership ability
License/Certification:
- BLS, ACLS, NIH certification
- IN RN license
