Assistant Nursing Care Managers play a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.

This position will have the opportunity to provide nursing care in a 20-bed unit as part of the Union Hospital Certified Primary Stroke Center, specializing in the care of patients experiencing stroke or stroke symptoms, and provides focused care for open-heart patients transitioning to home and diabetes management.

ANCM job details:

Essential Job Duties:

• Monitor and ensure the quality of patient care
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of care and safety
• Oversees staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for shifts and managing staff shortages
• Provides guidance for the staff in meeting the physical and emotional needs of patients and families
• Assists with orientation of new staff
• Performs job duties as described in RN job description

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited ASN or BSN program
• Must have Indiana RN license
• Previous RN experience preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care nursing setting
• Demonstrate leadership ability

License/Certification:

• BLS, ACLS, NIH certification
• IN RN license
