Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Hanahan, South Carolina at UEC Electronic

Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide programming, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of assigned assembly equipment
• Ensure proper setup and operation of assigned assembly equipment
• Provide immediate equipment and process support as required to ensure production schedule is maintained
• Support manufacturing process improvements
• Provide technical leadership and training to other employees
• Perform tasks such as replacing components; repairing electrical equipment; circuits, electrical panels, & mechanical components; light machining; assembly of mechanical & electrical components; and assisting engineers as required
• Apply technical knowledge to effectively complete assigned tasks
• May lead and direct the work of others

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 7 years’ experience operating, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of assigned equipment.
• Due to U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals lawfully admitted to the U.S. as asylees or refugees.

Work Requirements/Conditions

• Work performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
• Extended periods of standing may be required; seating is available at all workstations.
• Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently.
• Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, computers, and hand tools.
• May require bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
• Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses in designated areas.
• Must wear company-issued smock or ESD-protective garments where required.
• Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
