Job Description
Position Summary
Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking an experienced Office Lead to support the day-to-day operations of approximately three to four offices in the east Columbus area. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys coaching teams; solving problems, supporting providers, and helping each office deliver a consistent, positive patient experience.
The Office Lead will spend time in the assigned offices, working closely with office staff and operations leadership. The right candidate will bring medical office leadership experience and be comfortable balancing the needs of several locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to front desk and clinical support teams across assigned offices.
• Visit assigned locations regularly to understand staffing needs, patient flow, service concerns, and operational priorities.
• Coach employees, reinforce expectations, and bring performance or employee relations concerns to Human Resources and operations leadership promptly.
• Help office teams maintain effective schedules, coverage, attendance practices, and communication.
• Support new employee training and help ensure staff understand office procedures and patient service expectations.
• Work with providers and staff to identify problems, resolve routine issues, and escalate matters that need leadership support.
• Monitor workflow, patient experience, and follow-through on assigned operational goals.
• Help maintain consistent practices across locations while recognizing the needs of each office.
• Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, documentation, and retention efforts.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable company policies and healthcare requirements.
Qualifications
• At least three years of experience in a medical practice or outpatient healthcare setting.
• At least two years of experience leading, supervising, or coaching office staff.
• Experience supporting more than one office or helping coordinate operations across locations preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of front desk operations, scheduling, patient service, and medical office workflows.
• Ability to address concerns directly and professionally, provide useful feedback, and build trust with staff and providers.
• Strong organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel regularly among assigned Columbus-area offices.
• Experience in a specialty medical practice is a plus; podiatry experience is welcome but not required.
