Reports to

Facility Director

Summary

Conducts general repair and maintenance duties according to Club and OSHA safety standards.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, electrical system, appliances, ventilation system and building structure of the club.
  • Conducts plumbing repairs such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains.
  • Performs various duties involving painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.
  • Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators and kitchen equipment.
  • Inspects and observers all air handler units daily.
  • Inspects lighting throughout the club and make any necessary changes.
  • Performs preventive maintenance duties
  • Changes air filters
  • Completes work orders accurately and timely
  • Keeps shop and work area clean and clear of debris.
  • Cleans and reorganizes after every repair.
  • Properly stores chemicals, paint, flammables and equipment.
  • Follows all OSHA safety guidelines
  • Assures proper use and handling of ladders, power tools and equipment.
  • Responds to calls from staff and members for maintenance and other needs.
  • Perform all work related duties as assigned by supervisor or Manager

Interaction

  • Occasional interaction with members and vendors

Work Schedule

  • Evening shift 1:30 pm to 10pm Thursday to Monday
  • Full time hours, must be able to work weekends and holidays

Compensation

  • $17 to $19 per hour depending on experience and job knowledge

Working Conditions:

  • Worker is subject to hot, humid and/or cold temperatures
Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • 2 year minimum experience as maintenance technician
  • High School or GED

Health and Safety

  • Practice good hygiene prior to reporting to work and when returning to your assigned workstation. This includes, but is not limited to washing your hands, avoid touching your face, limiting unnecessary physical contact with others, coughing/sneezing into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, and disinfecting frequently used items and surfaces in your work area as directed by Management using company provided cleaning products.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by your specific job. This may include, safety masks, gloves, safety shoes and other PPE as directed by the Company.

Uniform/Attire

  • Non-slip work shoes or boots with safety toe guard
  • Denim Jeans or pants – blue, khakis or brown
  • Club issued shirt with Club crest/logo (when available) OR Black or Gray polo style shirt with collar, short or long sleeve shirt
  • Club issued jacket with Club crest/logo (when available during winter season)
  • Black cap or Club issued cap (optional)

  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor

  • Hearing and talking sufficient enough to communicate with members, guests, vendors, and staff.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Independent mobility throughout club property.
