Position Overview

The Quality Manager provides leadership for the Quality Assurance team and is responsible for ensuring that MRPC’s products, processes, and quality systems consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality, this role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and site leadership to drive a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, develop, and mentor the Quality Assurance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

· Drive quality initiatives that improve customer satisfaction, product quality, and operational performance.

· Interpret customer quality requirements and translate them into effective internal quality standards and inspection methods.

· Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation.

· Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

· Lead cross-functional root cause investigations and corrective actions for internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.

· Monitor key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, cost of quality, RMAs, and corrective action effectiveness, and drive improvement initiatives.

· Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to improve process capability, reduce variation, and support continuous improvement efforts.

· Lead capability studies, PFMEA/FMEA activities, and quality planning for new and existing products.

· Oversee the calibration program to ensure inspection equipment remains accurate and compliant.

· Collaborate with Purchasing to evaluate, qualify, and monitor supplier quality performance.

· Support customer audits, supplier audits, and internal quality audits while maintaining strong customer relationships.

· Ensure quality records, inspection documentation, and reporting systems are accurate, complete, and audit ready.

· Recommend improvements in equipment, staffing, and quality systems to support company growth.

· Support additional quality and operational initiatives as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 5+ years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing quality professionals preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, quality tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Experience leading root cause investigations, corrective actions, capability studies, and FMEA activities.

· Experience working with supplier quality and customer quality requirements.

· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

· Ability to analyze data, make sound decisions, and drive measurable improvements.

· Experience in plastics manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred.
