Overview
Is responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts in a prioritized and standardized manner as identified by the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, Director and Product Line Director.
Coordinates and organizes automating and verification of assigned products to ensure the delivery of top-level software products to external client
Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (QAAE) will:
Reviews regression test scripts written by QA staff.
Participates in automation status calls with team members and management
Supports and understands products assigned
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills
Participates in assigned internal QA projects
Monitors day-to-day activities and workloads of assigned Product Line (PL), QA staff
Provides weekly metrics to management
Adjusts timelines/requests based on resource allocations
Assists with and certifies validity of cross training
Monitors the verification of product functionality
Other Duties:
Maintains working relationships with all internal departments
Participates in presentations as Subject Matter Expert (SM
Conditions of Employment:

Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Required Skills:
Has verifiable experience with appropriate QA software testing and automation tools
Proficient with Automation Sprints to follow the Lean Agile Scrum Process
Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle
Proficient with DSS Applications and a good knowledge of DSS products
Prioritizes, manages time and is detail oriented.
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
Possesses proven aptitude for understanding technical process
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with other engineers in a team setting.
Must work effectively on his/her own with minimal supervision.
Works with other departments and managers within the company
Learns new software as needed
Consistently meets defined goals
Is proficient in VistA and CPRS
Communicates well in regard to automation tasks, timelines and accomplishment
Preferred Skills
Experience with qTest and Jira
Experience with Automation Anywhere or HP Quick Test Pro
QA experience with GUI applications and HL7 interfaces
Education:
Required:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study
Combination of education and experience may be substituted for a formal degree
Desired:
Master s degree Computer Science, Computer Information, Health Information or other related degree
Certification(s), Licenses:
Optional, not required:
CSTE, CSQA or ISTQB Certification
Other related certifications
Experience:
Required: 1 year experience as a DSS QA Analyst I.
Desired:
Previous experience in utilizing automation tools such as:
Automation Anywhere
Quick Test Pro
Selenium
Knowledge of programming language
Compensation:
Salary at DSS Inc is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $68,000.00 to $80,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DSS, Inc. total compensation package for employees.
