Ellis Medicine is seeking a Breast Radiologist to join our breast imaging team serving patients throughout New York's Capital Region. This is an excellent opportunity for a radiologist with specialized expertise in breast imaging to join an established program offering comprehensive breast screening, diagnostic imaging, and image-guided procedures.

Our breast care program provides a multidisciplinary approach to breast health, bringing together dedicated breast radiologists, experienced mammography technologists, breast health nurses, surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and patient navigation services. Through collaboration and advanced diagnostic capabilities, our team is committed to the early detection of breast cancer and providing patients with timely, compassionate, and high-quality care.

This full-time opportunity offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no call, allowing physicians to focus on clinical excellence and patient care while maintaining work-life balance.

Position Highlights

Clinical Responsibilities

• Interpret screening and diagnostic mammograms, including digital mammography and available 3D mammography studies.
• Interpret breast ultrasound examinations and other breast imaging studies within the scope of the practice.
• Interpret breast MRI examinations and contribute to the diagnostic evaluation of patients with complex breast imaging findings.
• Perform image-guided breast biopsy procedures, including stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Perform or participate in other image-guided breast procedures, as appropriate to training, experience, and clinical privileges.
• Evaluate abnormal screening studies and diagnostic findings, recommending appropriate additional imaging, biopsy, or clinical follow-up.
• Provide timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate interpretation and reporting of breast imaging examinations.
• Communicate significant imaging findings and recommendations to referring providers and other members of the care team.
• Collaborate with surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, primary care providers, and other specialists to support coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
• Fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise or a strong clinical interest in breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Experience with breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast biopsy procedures preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.

Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including:

• Competitive guaranteed base salary for 2 years of $640k-$800k commensurate with experience.
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
• $100,000 Starting Bonus
