Salary Information: $75,000–$100,000 annually based on experience, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary.

Job Summary:

Branch Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability for the Service and Parts departments to ensure operational efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Oversee daily operations, workflow, and resource allocation to ensure customer needs are met accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. Establishes departmental goals, monitors performance metrics, and implements processes that drive continuous improvement, productivity, and quality service delivery. Coordinates scheduling, inventory availability, and service activities to maximize shop efficiency, minimize downtime, and support timely completion of repairs, installations, and parts fulfillment.

Plans, staffs, develops, and evaluates Service and Parts personnel to promote teamwork, accountability, and professional growth while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Promotes a safe work environment and ensures compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and reporting procedures. Collaborates with other departments and leadership to achieve branch performance goals, drive revenue growth, and enhance overall operational excellence.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, On-site in Bakersfield, CA

Requirements:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead branch operations by fostering a culture aligned with company Core Values, promoting teamwork, accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining quality standards, resolving customer concerns, identifying service trends, and implementing process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee service and parts departments, ensuring efficient coordination of resources, timely completion of work, and achievement of operational objectives.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing team through recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Establish clear expectations, monitor performance, provide regular feedback, and administer company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by analyzing operational, financial, service, and inventory data; identifying trends; establishing goals; and implementing strategies to improve branch performance and profitability.
  • Coordinate branch resources to meet customer commitments and operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of company products, equipment, service requirements, and industry trends to support customers and employees effectively.
  • Support and promote the effective use of company systems and technology platforms, including business management, inventory, reporting, and customer service software.
  • Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to resolve operational, personnel, customer, and inventory-related issues efficiently.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners to support branch success.
  • Monitor inventory and operational metrics to ensure accuracy, efficiency, cost control, and readiness to support service, sales, and customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, employees, vendors, and management through both verbal and written communication.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and engaged work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical business practices.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by company leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive management experience in dealership operations or a related field. Experience in transportation and/or transport refrigeration is preferred.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three or more years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and work experience in a dealership environment.
  • Experience building and managing multi-departmental teams is preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb stairs/ladders.
  • Ability to lift / carry / push / pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Ability to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
