Patient Experience Advocate - Emergency Department (ED)

Work location:

• Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours:

• Full Time/Mids (11A-11P); Variable Shifts

• Weekend and holiday requirements

Emergency Department Highlights:

• Level 1 Trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, Comprehensive Heart Attack, ECMO CPR, and SANE facility

• High volume, high acuity Emergency Department seeking highly skilled candidates for managing patient experience in some of life's most challenging situations

• Role will partner with Physicians, RNs, LVNs, Paramedics, and others to help support the full circle of comprehensive, patient centered care.

Here's What You Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required or

• Associate's degree preferred

• 3 years of hospital experience required

• Experience working in the Emergency Department within a customer service industry highly preferred

• Strong conflict resolution and communication experience across all patient populations including pediatric, adults, and elderly highly preferred

• Excellent communication skills

What You Will Do:

• Reviews, research, and evaluates complaints and inquiries

• Prioritizes concern multiple or complex issues

• Oversees referral, investigation, and resolution of complaints

• May respond to government or regulatory complaints

• Responds to government or regulatory agencies as appropriate

• Identifies problems and works with those involved to implement changes and solutions

• Acts as an Advocate for patients

• Acts as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians

• Serves as resource person for hospital staff, medical staff, and physician's office staff
