Environmental Services Coordinator in Oxford, North Carolina at Granville Medical Center

POSITION SUMMARY:

The EVS Supervisor directs housekeeping service/ personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures and as directed by the Department Director. The EVS Supervisor assures that housekeeping services are maintained at appropriate levels at all times. Performs within the prescribed limits of the medical center/ department's compliance programs. The EVS Supervisor detects, observes, and reports compliance variances to immediate supervisor or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer, or the GMC hotline. Performance of other related duties and activities, as directed. The EVS Supervisor will also be called to perform the duties of a Housekeeper, Floor Tech and Laundry Worker. The EVS Supervisor will coordinate projects, training programs, quality control processes, and in-services for EVS department staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED, required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in housekeeping and at least one (1) year of management experience. Hospital or healthcare experience is a plus. Must be able to read, write and speak the English fluently. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Be knowledgeable of laundry/linen practices, procedures and guidelines. Exceptional conflict resolution skill required. Ability to explore new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
