CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 5 months

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and support enterprise applications.
• Develop Java/Spring Boot microservices and integrate applications with Oracle databases.
• Perform systems analysis, application design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Create technical specifications, documentation, and test plans.
• Analyze application interfaces, integrations, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with developers, technology teams, business users, and vendors.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and support complex projects.
• Identify and implement technology and process improvements.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Independently perform complex systems analysis and application development.
• Lead or coordinate technical activities, project milestones, and delivery.
• Work with senior management, technology teams, business units, and vendors.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

• May lead and coordinate less experienced technical resources on projects.

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate's degree and 5+ years of systems analysis/application development experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of application development experience.
• Java
• Spring Boot
• Microservices
• Oracle
• Strong systems analysis, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Banking/financial services experience.
• Enterprise application frameworks and system integrations.
• Experience supporting complex, integrated applications.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
