Job Description
Serves as a bridge and structural engineer responsible for planning, analysis, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects. Provides technical leadership for bridge, retaining wall, and related structural projects; coordinates multidisciplinary teams; supports business development efforts; and ensures projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable design standards and client requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee bridge design, load rating, rehabilitation, widening, and replacement projects.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, NDOT requirements, and applicable ACI, AISC, and building codes.
- Coordinate project schedules and budgets.
- Review and approve engineering work products for quality, accuracy, and constructability.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project development and construction.
- Participate in project meetings, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and support construction engineering services.
Structural Division
- Design bridges utilizing AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Manual
- Design buildings utilizing IBC
- Design retaining walls
- Design flood control structures including detention basin infrastructure, junction structures
- Design water reservoirs and pump stations
- Perform structural analysis

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil engineering is required. A Master's of Science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline is preferred. Minimum four (4) years of experience in bridge design.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
This position requires a Nevada Professional Engineer license, or capable of acquiring in six (6) months after hire. Valid driver’s license.
