Job Summary:

The RD PM Manager is to lead RD PM team to accelerate Time-to-Market by bridging Silicon Valley R&D engineering with global mass manufacturing, ensuring highly complex AI rack systems are successfully transformed from unstable engineering prototypes into reliable, mass-producible products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) projects throughout the product development lifecycle, from initial planning and design validation through engineering builds, qualification, production ramp-up, and mass production.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans to ensure projects meet customer requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and launch timelines.
  • Coordinate and align cross-functional engineering teams, including R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and other supporting functions. Facilitate regular project reviews, track engineering deliverables and dependencies, and ensure technical issues and project priorities are clearly communicated and resolved across teams.
  • Identify, assess, and manage technical, schedule, resource, quality, and production risks throughout the NPI process. Develop mitigation and contingency plans, track corrective actions, and manage engineering and product changes to minimize their impact on project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and production readiness.
  • Act as the primary technical and project management interface between customers and internal engineering teams. Communicate project status, technical issues, engineering changes, risks, schedules, and action items to customers while coordinating internal resources to address customer requirements and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or MBA degree with years of experience handling technology products.
  • Valued Certifications such as PMP, Agile is preferred.

Experience:

  • 4-7 years in tech program management, with 3+ years managing people or leading cross-functional teams;
  • Experience leading projects through all phase-gates, specifically EVT, DVT, and PVT;
  • Experience bridging US-based R&D teams with global mass-manufacturing facilities (e.g., Taiwan, Mexico, Texas).;
  • Mastery of Engineering Change Orders (ECO) & Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
