Berkshire Health Systems is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide per diem coverage in the outpatient Wound Clinic at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Fairview Hospital is a critical access hospital serving the Southern Berkshire community as part of Berkshire Health Systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP interested in supplementing an existing position with a few weekday shifts each month while providing meaningful, specialized care in a collaborative community-hospital setting.

Position Highlights

• Per diem opportunity covering a few shifts per month
• Weekday schedule within a clinic that operates five days per week
• Fully outpatient practice with no inpatient responsibilities
• Manage approximately 12–18 patient visits per day

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of wound-care needs
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
• Provide patient education and appropriate follow-up care
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other members of the patient’s care team
• Coordinate additional services or referrals when appropriate

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
• Previous experience in wound care, surgery or a related clinical specialty is preferred
• Candidates without direct wound-care experience may be considered if they possess a relevant clinical background and a strong commitment to developing expertise in wound management
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and ability to practice effectively in an outpatient setting
