Description:

Sterile Services Co. (SSC) is hiring a Logistics Analyst III to support the Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC) – Force Projection Directorate (FPD) in Frederick, MD. This senior-level position provides advanced logistics analysis and planning support for medical materiel readiness, distribution operations, inventory management, medical set maintenance, contingency operations, and worldwide force projection missions. The Logistics Analyst III will serve as a technical expert, applying extensive knowledge of Army medical logistics systems, supply chain operations, medical materiel management, and readiness reporting. This role may lead projects and teams while using independent judgment, innovation, and analytical expertise to improve performance, reduce costs, strengthen accountability, and enhance customer support across AMLC-supported missions.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze logistics operations affecting the acquisition, storage, distribution, accountability, maintenance, and transportation of medical materiel.
  • Develop and implement logistics plans supporting force projection, deployment readiness, contingency operations, and sustainment requirements.
  • Evaluate supply chain performance and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and logistics policies.
  • Conduct inventory analysis, demand forecasting, stock positioning, and asset visibility assessments.
  • Monitor medical materiel readiness and identify supply chain issues requiring corrective actions.
  • Analyze logistics data and prepare reports, briefings, dashboards, and performance metrics for Government leadership.
  • Support Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) activities, medical set management, and medical materiel reconstitution efforts.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, supported units, and logistics partners to resolve supply and distribution challenges.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting mission readiness and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.
  • Participate in operational planning meetings, readiness reviews, fielding activities, and logistics synchronization events.
  • Lead logistics projects and provide technical direction to junior analysts and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Army regulations, Department of Defense policies, and contract requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant military logistics training and experience may be substituted for formal education.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible logistics experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Army, Medical Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, or Force Projection activities.
  • Experience analyzing logistics processes, inventory management systems, and distribution operations.
  • Experience developing reports, procedures, and process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Army and DoD logistics principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Understanding of medical logistics operations, inventory control, supply accountability, and distribution management.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medical logistics systems and Army logistics automation tools.
  • Knowledge of GCSS-Army, TEWLS, MEDLOG systems, GFEBS, or similar logistics platforms.
  • Prior military medical logistics experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma, APICS, DAWIA, or other logistics-related certifications.

Security Requirements

The individual performing this position must possess a favorably adjudicated NACLC/T3 background investigation containing no unfavorable information conducted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and/or adjudicated by the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) prior to contract performance.
