Shop Help/Cleaner – Full-Time Days – Brownstown

As a Shop Help/Cleaner at Kerry Brothers Truck Repair, you will help keep our Brownstown shop clean, organized, and running smoothly. This full-time, hourly day shift position focuses on general cleaning, shop upkeep, and supporting technicians and other shop staff. This is an entry-level opportunity with no prior experience required. We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn.

What You'll Do

• Sweep and clean shop floors, work areas, and common areas
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and other employee spaces
• Help keep walkways and work areas clear of debris and clutter
• Assist with cleaning up spills using approved supplies and safety procedures
• Organize and return tools, supplies, and shop equipment to designated locations
• Assist with moving and staging parts, materials, and equipment as directed
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the shop yard and building exterior
• Notify a supervisor of safety hazards, maintenance needs, or low cleaning supplies
• Support technicians and shop staff with general tasks as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and wear required protective equipment

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to work consistently
• Willingness to perform cleaning duties in an active heavy-duty truck repair shop
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized workplace
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move supplies and materials, typically up to 50 pounds, with assistance or equipment as needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to follow established cleaning procedures and shop safety requirements
• Availability to work a full-time day shift at our Brownstown location
