Position Title: Facilities Technician
Department: Facilities / Operations
Reports To: Facilities Manager
Summary: The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and supporting the overall functionality of building systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, and general building systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and daily inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
Review and prioritize of maintenance and work order program
Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues in a timely manner
Maintain a high level of service standards
Support quality auditing findings and processes
Support installation and setup of equipment, furniture, and workspaces
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA standards
Monitor building systems and report any irregularities or potential hazards
Assist with vendor coordination for specialized repairs and services
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation
Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
3+ years of facilities maintenance or related experience
Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs and perform physical tasks
Preferred Skills
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS)
OSHA safety training or certification desired but not required
Forklift or equipment operation certification desired but not required
Working Conditions
May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
May require occasional overtime or on-call support
Able to climb and use ladders and sizerlift cirtifyed desired but not required
