Hospital Bill Auditor in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

The Hospital Bill Auditor is responsible for performing chart-to-bill audits to insure that all charges, which are documented, are charged and that no charges exist without documentation and performing third party insurance audits. This position is also responsible for reviewing system changes affecting charging mechanisms with the Nurse Audit Manager.

Education: Registered or licensed coding associate/specialist/technologist or Nursing Degree.

Registered or Licensed in Health Information or Registered Nurse or Registered Licensed Practical Nurse with a minimum of three years acute care facility experience preferred. Previous audit/business experience required.

Experience and basic knowledge of computer software including word processing, ability to learn new software quickly. Must possess ability to work well under pressure and to function independently and dependently.
