The SunnyBrook Ballroom is one of the few remaining dance halls of the pre-World War II era still in existence. It began as a swimming club in 1926 and in 1931, the ballroom was constructed. During the big band era of the 1930’s and 1940’s the ballroom rose to prominence as one of the country’s great dance floors. The venue has hosted political rallies, community meetings, weddings, class and family reunions, high school proms, and many other events. Most recently Soul Joel’s Comedy Dome has been added, bring in comedians from across the country. Job Overview:

• Responsible for serving food, refilling beverages, removing dishes from tables and assist in additional tasks to help facilitate a smooth and efficient service.
• Will spend long hours on their feet, standing, walking and moving around the dining rooms, as well as moving furniture to accommodate dining events.
• Requires the individual to be extremely courteous, cordial and polite to the Guest/Customer at all times.
• Responsible for their respective station as it relates to proper set-up, positioning of tables, full condiments, cleanliness of tables and chairs, etc.
• Assisting in the set-up and breakdown of rooms.

$16.00 an hour

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• Must possess good communication skills
• Position requires the individual to maintain flexible availability
• Prior restaurant or banquet service experience recommended but will train
• Ability to carry a service tray weighing in excess of thirty pounds
• Must have viable means of transportation to work.
