Job Description
True North Fleet Services are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician. This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, quality repairs on diesel equipment and mobile fleet service.
We are looking for the most talented technicians in the industry and want to get to know you! Some of our positions are not only for onsite Diesel Technician positions but mobile and travel technicians who want to travel to locations throughout the country as we continue to acquire new companies and projects with customers.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues
• Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership
Qualifications
• 3+ years of diesel maintenance experience preferred (fleet, dealership, independent, or light mechanical shop)
• Mobile experience preferred, but not required for a shop technician
• ASE T-Series certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
