AI Engineer- Enterprise Solutions in The Woodlands, Texas at Sterling Construction Company, Inc.

What You'll Do

• • Partner directly with business and construction operations teams to identify opportunities for technology and AI solutions.
  • Design, develop, and deploy applications, AI agents, automations, dashboards, and data integrations.
  • Build solutions using Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Power BI, and other modern AI technologies.
  • Develop AI-powered workflows using tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Azure AI.
  • Turn complex data into practical tools that improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial concept through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

What We're Looking For

• • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, AI solutions, or a related field.
  • Strong programming and development skills, including SQL, REST APIs, and experience with Python, .NET, TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Power Platform, or comparable cloud technologies.
  • Hands-on experience developing AI solutions, automations, or data-driven applications.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate with non-technical teams, and turn business needs into working solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Even Better If You Have:

• • Experience with Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, or other large language model (LLM) technologies.
  • Experience developing operational or financial dashboards.
  • Familiarity with construction technology platforms such as Viewpoint, HCSS, Trimble, or Autodesk.
