Civil Survey Summer Intern 2027 in New Caney, Texas at Elevation Land Solutions

As a Land Surveying Intern at Elevation, you’ll be exposed to the full lifecycle of land development projects. Under the guidance of our surveying team, you’ll assist in technical survey tasks, get field experience, and support project execution from concept through construction.Key Responsibilities

• Support the survey team with technical tasks such as:
• Geographic Information Systems and feasibility projects
• Construction Staking and Calculations
• Subdivision Platting
• Metes and Bounds Legal Descriptions
• Surveying CAD Drafting
• Assist in producing final surveys : title, boundary, as-built, topographic, control
• Field work with total station, GPS, and lidar and photogrammetry drones
• Collaborate with team members on multi-disciplinary projects
• Submit accurate and timely timesheets
• Coordination with Engineering, Construction, and Production Divisions
• Maintain positive, professional relationships across departments

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong sense of initiative and accountability
• Ability to work with urgency to meet deadlines
• Flexible and willing to support additional hours when project demands arise
• Fluent in English
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and field conditions, including navigating uneven terrain, standing/walking for extended periods, and lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and materials as needed.

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $22 – $25 per hour.
