Senior Project Manager

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salary
Reports to: Program Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Location: Fort Worth, TX

Summary Objective

Leads the successful delivery of multiple complex projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations. The Senior Project Manager provides leadership and oversight to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance across project teams. This role also partners in supporting RFI/RFP processes, contributes to strategic client engagement, and serves as a key client-facing leader throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions

  • Manages overall project execution
  • Manages complete project oversite
  • Coordinates, manages, and directs project kick-offs
  • Conduct engineering kick-off meeting
  • Review contracts
  • Coordinates the reviews and comments on the scope of work, contract, specifications, and supplementary client documentation
  • Responsible for identifying and mitigating risk and communicating financial schedule impacts at an executive level
  • Generates and obtains management approval of an execution plan
  • Monitors and updates project schedules to ensure milestones are met
  • Collaborates with other departments to resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle
  • Ensures and/or documentation and other client deliverables are submitted in a timely manner
  • Coordinates between internal resources, clients, vendors, sub-contractors, contractors, and technicians throughout execution
  • Directs fabrication, installation, and start-up issues throughout execution
  • Coordinates and directs progress inspections at fabrication shop
  • Calculates building costs to generate change orders and provides backup documentation
  • Generates project budgets and modifies, as necessary, over the course of the project life cycle
  • Creates and maintain a detailed cash flow and man-hours usage to ensure the project stays on budget.
  • Creates reports and projections for various levels within the organization.
  • Completes project closeout (i.e., punch list items, client final acceptance, etc.); and
  • Responsible for warranty requests by generating and executing a corrective action plan.
  • Manages overall project Leadership and decision-making (through proper channels).
  • Leads client interface, communications, and management.
  • Manages budget development and timeline development oversite.
  • Manages and coordinates customer communication.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Location

This position will work out of our Fort Worth sites. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at fabrication shops and job sites.

Job safety needs to always be considered the top priority.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The first shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily not required except for local travel during the business day between Stellar Energy worksites and HQ. Additionally, projects may require out-of-state or overnight travel up to 20% annually.

Required Education and Experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience in the power, oil & gas, data center and / or adjacent industries
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and enterprise resource planning

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in construction, engineering, or management related discipline
  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
