Position Summary
The Assistant Benefits Administrator supports the administration of employee benefits programs by assisting employees with benefit-related questions, maintaining accurate records, processing enrollments and changes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This position serves as a key resource for employees while providing administrative support to the Human Resources and Benefits functions.
Benefits Administration- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and questions regarding health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and other company-sponsored benefit programs.
- Process new hire enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and benefit terminations.
- Review and verify benefit forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate benefit information with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
- Maintain employee benefit files and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment planning and execution.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of administrative, HR, payroll, benefits, or related experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
