Server Attendant – Aspire Restaurant
SUMMARY

Spanish Peaks is a private community situated on 3,500 acres nestled at 7,700 feet in stunning Big Sky, Montana. We are about 50 miles away from Bozeman, Belgrade, and West Yellowstone, MT.
The Server Attendant position at the Aspire Restaurant requires you to primarily assist the Servers during service. In addition to responsibilities in the restaurant, this position is also responsible for preparing, working, and resetting private and club events when necessary. The role will be responsible for the stocking, cleaning, and overall flow of your section. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Consistently following Food & Beverage sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.
- Setting and resetting of tables before, during and after service periods with clean polished silverware, glassware, share plates and napkins as necessary
- Pre-bussing and bussing of tables during service period; assisting servers with service steps where necessary
- Anticipate the members’ and guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Set up events according to event specifications, including buffets, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and decorations.
- Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown as needed.
- Work closely with event manager, restaurant manager, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth event execution.
- Clean and reset event spaces at the conclusion of the event
- Cleaning all spills, and broken glassware/dishes immediately, using floor signs when necessary
- Cleaning of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintaining equipment in good working order while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department
- Working as a team and effectively communicating with management, servers and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other associates
- Enforce all State and Federal laws regarding liquor sales
- Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties based on business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year experience as a server attendant in a hotel, private club, or similar restaurant establishment preferred
- Must have strong communication skills and ability to multi-task is required
- Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members.
- Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure
- Ability to read and write in English proficiently, as well as having basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.
- Must be punctual and have regular and reliable attendance.
- Previous exposure to high volume restaurant environment preferred
- Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, energetic and a willing learner
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most work shifts and tasks are performed indoors but may have some tasks and/or shifts assigned outdoors. Indoor temperature is moderate and controlled by the clubhouse environmental systems. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 7 hours in length. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware, up to 50 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
