This is an opportunity to lead business development and strategic partnerships across the community college ecosystem, with a primary focus on Texas and surrounding states.
You’ll build trusted relationships with college leaders, administrators, faculty, and other key decision-makers to identify opportunities and address evolving educational needs.
The role combines consultative sales, account management, relationship building, and product leadership in a mission-driven higher education environment.
You’ll help community college students explore pathways to four-year degrees while supporting faculty and staff pursuing advanced academic and professional development.
Success will depend on your ability to grow partnerships, increase enrollment, and translate institutional needs into relevant educational solutions.
This is a remote position with travel to client and partner locations, networking events, and other business meetings.

- Build, expand, and retain strategic partnerships with community colleges by developing strong relationships, responding to client needs, introducing relevant services, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Proactively engage senior decision-makers and key influencers through networking, outreach campaigns, cold calling, social media, sales presentations, virtual meetings, and in-person engagements.
- Develop and execute innovative strategies to increase awareness, adoption, and enrollment across degree and professional development programs.
- Manage a healthy pipeline of new and existing opportunities, maintaining accurate activity, opportunity, and relationship information through CRM systems.
- Act as a trusted liaison between the university and partner organizations, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop new business, strengthen existing partnerships, and align educational offerings with client and market needs.
- Become a subject matter expert on available educational programs and communicate their value effectively to community college leaders, faculty, staff, and students.
- Identify potential new programs and services by monitoring client needs, market trends, competitive offerings, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
- Negotiate and facilitate agreements, including memoranda of understanding, statements of work, sales orders, and other contractual arrangements.
- Support enrollment and revenue objectives while maintaining a strong partner-first approach and delivering high-quality client experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably supported by experience or education in higher education, community colleges, sales, marketing, academic advising, enrollment, retention, or another related field.
- Professional background within higher education, particularly experience working with community colleges, is strongly valued.
- Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, account management, student enrollment, retention, academic advising, or another revenue-generating or relationship-focused function.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain trust with community college leaders and other education stakeholders.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-management capabilities, with the ability to create buy-in across multiple levels of an organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to both individual decision-makers and larger audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple client initiatives and competing priorities while remaining organized, accountable, and results-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and adapting quickly to changing priorities and market needs.
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms is preferred, along with confidence using spreadsheets, Zoom, and other business technologies.
- Passion for lifelong learning, professional development, and helping students, educators, and administrators achieve their academic and career goals.
- Experience in healthcare, IT, military, government, or business environments is valued but not required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to accommodate occasional travel, including some overnight trips.
