Business Applications Administrator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Applications Administrator based in the United States.

This is a remote opportunity for a business applications professional to help administer and continuously improve critical enterprise systems.
You will work across NetSuite, Salesforce, integrations, and emerging AI-powered automation initiatives.
The role combines hands-on systems administration with troubleshooting, configuration, reporting, and process improvement.
You will help ensure business applications remain secure, reliable, well-integrated, and aligned with operational needs.
Working closely with technical consultants and non-technical stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into practical solutions.
Your work will directly reduce manual processes, improve data quality, and strengthen the organization's technology operations.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys ownership, technical problem-solving, and making business systems work smarter.

Accountabilities:
  • Administer NetSuite in a production environment, including user provisioning, roles and permissions, saved searches, workflows, custom fields, forms, dashboards, and related configurations.
  • Develop and optimize SuiteQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, and operational decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot NetSuite issues, coordinate larger enhancements with external consultants, and maintain effective sandbox and production environments.
  • Support segregation-of-duties processes and user access reviews to help maintain appropriate controls.
  • Provide Salesforce administration support across user management, profiles, permission sets, page layouts, flows, reports, dashboards, releases, sandbox refreshes, and data quality initiatives.
  • Support sales operations requests and deliver light Salesforce configuration as needed.
  • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business applications using REST and SOAP APIs and middleware such as Celigo.
  • Monitor integration health, establish alerts, document workflows, investigate failures, and implement timely remediation.
  • Apply security best practices across integrations, including secure credential storage, least-privilege service accounts, token rotation, and appropriate logging.
  • Contribute to AI-enabled automation initiatives, including LLM integrations, agentic workflows, and tools designed to reduce repetitive manual work.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate recurring business application administration processes.
  • Document solutions clearly and communicate system changes, issues, and recommendations effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned systems and continuously look for ways to improve reliability, efficiency, data quality, and user experience.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience in a production environment, including SuiteQL, saved searches, workflows, and role and permission design.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, demonstrated through Trailhead Admin-level knowledge or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining system-to-system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware such as Celigo, Boomi, Workato, or MuleSoft, or workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Power Automate.
  • Ability to read and write scripts or expressions used to troubleshoot and extend integrations, with familiarity with JavaScript, basic SuiteScript, and JSON.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnosing application and integration issues.
  • Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to document work thoroughly and communicate effectively with stakeholders at varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Experience working carefully with production business systems and an understanding of the importance of system reliability, security, and data integrity.
  • NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification is preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is a plus.
  • Experience with n8n, AI/LLM integrations, Claude, OpenAI APIs, agentic workflows, or prompt engineering is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environments is desirable.
  • Familiarity with SOX-related controls, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 is beneficial.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. The role is not open to candidates requiring H-1B, TN, or green card sponsorship, including F-1 OPT holders who would require H-1B status.
  • The position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada.
Benefits:
  • Remote work: Fully remote opportunity available to candidates located in the continental United States and/or Canada.
  • Salary: Estimated compensation range of $70,000–$95,000 CAD per year, with the final offer determined by experience, education, certifications, skills, responsibilities, location, and other business considerations.
  • Opportunity to work with modern enterprise platforms including NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Exposure to API integrations, automation platforms, and emerging AI/LLM technologies.
  • Opportunity to contribute to projects that streamline business operations and reduce manual work.
  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional interaction across business and technology teams.
  • Ongoing opportunity to develop expertise in enterprise applications, integrations, automation, and business systems.
