Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the day-to-day upkeep and basic maintenance of our facility and equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to learn and grow their technical skills. You will assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to help keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Essential Functions
Working alongside the facilities and maintenance team, you will help identify issues, complete repairs, and support a safe and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment and machinery, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and support more senior technicians with repairs as needed.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules, including routine checks, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments.
- Replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Complete general facility maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, lighting, and HVAC-related support.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Work with team members to complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to operations.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding issues, completed work, and any follow-up needs.
- Respond to routine maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Assist during emergency maintenance situations as directed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying basic repair or maintenance opportunities.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed. This role may evolve based on business needs.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–2 years of maintenance or hands-on technical experience preferred (entry-level candidates with mechanical/technical aptitude are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge or interest in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems, or general facility maintenance.
- Willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take direction.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Vocational training, technical certifications, or coursework in maintenance-related fields.
- Green Flower or Ganjier certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
The employee works in either a dispensary and/or cultivation environment. The employee may be required to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The position also requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. The employee must be able to work in a fast-faced environment, handling routine and reoccurring tasks.
The employee will work in environments that include exposure to, but not limited to dirt, fertilizers, dusts, odors, fumes, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, heights, indoor A/C, no A/C, and other environmental variables.
The position also requires a high level of scheduling flexibility and will occasionally include evening, weekend, and holiday work hours. The employee will encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday and must have a high regard for self-management, time management, and scheduling of activities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, move around, and clearly communicate. The employee must constantly position oneself to move freely. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. The employee should have the ability to meet the physical demands of lifting, carrying and positioning heavy objects and should be familiar and comfortable using the assistance of push/pull manual transport equipment (ex: pallet jack, hand truck). The employee will often need to use a ladder, with up to a 12’ extension and general hardware tools.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
