Job Title: Philanthropy and Fundraising Coordinator

Department: Support and Giving (S&G)

Reports To: Director of Support and Giving

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Location: Hybrid / with Required Travel

Position Summary:

The Philanthropy Fundraising Coordinator supports the mission of PTSD Foundation of America by assisting with fundraising operations, donor engagement activities, stewardship initiatives, sponsorship support, and development administration functions that strengthen organizational sustainability and growth.

This role supports the team through donor research, reporting, database management, fundraising coordination, event support, and stewardship activities designed to cultivate and maintain positive donor and community relationships.

The Philanthropy Fundraising Coordinator assists with fundraising campaigns, donor communications, prospect research, and development operations while supporting organizational accountability, data integrity, and service excellence standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to support departmental fundraising goals and organizational initiatives.
  • Create reports and assist with data integrity, database clean-up, data extraction, and donor analytics activities.
  • Prepare and generate donor profiles, prospect lists, reports, mailing lists, and fundraising queries.
  • Assist with processing donations and generating donor acknowledgment letters, receipts, thank-you communications, and stewardship materials.
  • Support tracking of team revenues, expenses, sponsorship activity, and fundraising budgets.
  • Assist with sponsorship opportunities, fundraising initiatives, and departmental events.
  • Conduct donor and prospect research to support fundraising and stewardship strategies.
  • Assist with development and implementation of stewardship programs that engage donors, volunteers, board members, staff, and community supporters.
  • Promote organizational programs, services, events, and community engagement initiatives to strengthen donor retention and public awareness.
  • Prepare materials and donor packets for meetings, fundraising campaigns, and prospective donor engagements.
  • Assist with grant-related activities and coordination with third-party grant writers as needed.
  • Support donor database maintenance and ensure accuracy of CRM records and fundraising documentation.
  • Participate in organizational events and community activities, including occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality involving donor, financial, veteran, and organizational information.

Additional duties may be assigned, provided they are consistent with the general nature and level of responsibility of the position

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in nonprofit development, fundraising, business, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, development operations, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, or business development activities preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with SharePoint, DonorPerfect, or other CRM platforms preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to effectively exchange information verbally and in writing.
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and environments requiring personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move event materials, donor packets, supplies, or equipment, generally up to 25 pounds, with assistance or reasonable accommodation as appropriate.
    • Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings or weekends as required. If driving is required, must maintain a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance, subject to applicable law
