Job Description
Verve, LLC is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to lead platform architecture, solution design, and enterprise-scale ServiceNow delivery within a federal healthcare environment.
The ServiceNow Architect will partner with business and technical stakeholders to modernize services, drive automation, improve platform capabilities, and ensure solutions align with ServiceNow best practices and enterprise objectives. This role will provide both strategic architectural leadership and hands-on technical guidance across multiple ServiceNow modules.
Work Location
This position is based in Woodlawn, Maryland, supporting a federal client. Candidates who are able and willing to work onsite at least part-time at the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Woodlawn are strongly encouraged to apply.
Verve is also open to top-tier fully remote candidates who bring exceptional ServiceNow architecture experience and are able to effectively support the client and project team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and guide end-to-end ServiceNow solutions across modules including ITSM, ITOM (HAM/SAM), ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, HR, and Asset Management.
- Lead platform enhancements, modernization initiatives, and strategic technical design reviews.
- Align ServiceNow capabilities with enterprise objectives, including automation, AI-driven improvements, and emerging ServiceNow platform capabilities.
- Develop platform roadmaps, architectural standards, technical strategies, and recommendations.
- Ensure data integrity, configuration management, and governance across CMDB, HAM, and SAM.
- Provide architectural guidance and solution governance to development and implementation teams.
- Mentor technical teams and promote ServiceNow development and architecture best practices.
- Evaluate technical solutions and integrations to ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders, business users, developers, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant IT experience, or Master’s degree with 3–6 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and solution delivery experience.
- 5+ years of experience serving as a ServiceNow Solutions Architect.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Strong experience with:
- Cross-platform integrations and enterprise architecture
- ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, and HR modules
- CMDB, HAM, and SAM data governance
- System architecture and solution design principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills & Certifications
- Experience with web technologies including HTML/XHTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, and Java.
- Strong JavaScript development and automation experience across ServiceNow modules.
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations, Business Rules, Workflows, Identification Rules, Workspaces, and External Portals.
- Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, and LDAP.
- ServiceNow CIS certifications, particularly in areas such as:
- ITSM
- CSM
- Discovery
- Service Mapping
- Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Application Portfolio Management (APM)
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
- PMP, Scrum/Agile, or other relevant project or technical leadership certifications.
