Media Staff in Mears, Michigan at Grace Adventures

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• Participate in the overall ministry of Grace Adventures while using photography, videography, and audio to capture and share the story of how God is working through our summer programs. Creatively document camper experiences, serve as a Godly influence to students, and produce daily photos, weekly camp videos, camper testimonials, and other promotional content to tell the story of how Grace Adventures Ministries is equipping students and strengthening families.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create digital content consistent with the Grace Adventures standards and mission
• Complete staff training and follow all camp policies
• Stay spiritually and physically fit to minister
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Spend time alone with the Lord every day
• Take photo and video each day on professional cameras
• Edit daily photos with Adobe Lightroom, export, and upload to website for parents to view
• Edit weekly video and recap reel with Adobe Premiere Pro
• Perform end-of-week camper interviews in a talking head camera and mic setup
• Assist in camper check-out duties
• Work in Community Worship as assigned, running ProPresenter to change slides
• Organize photo and video files in the MacOS finder system
• Create end-of-summer promotional content
• Maintain camera equipment
• Fill out provided personal journal and attend end of week review meetings

POSITION TYPE: Seasonal

HOUSING: Provided throughout contract dates

MEALS: Provided throughout contract dates whenever campers or guests are being served

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Love for kids and ability to communicate with them
• Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times.
• Working knowledge of taking photos and video including exposure, aperture, shutter speed, and basic composition
• Working knowledge of photo and video editing
• Team spirit and quality communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Minimum age 18 years old
• Valid Driver's License (preferred, but not required)
