Job Description

Remuneration in line with BESA rates of pay

We require a Plumber to join our well-established team, supporting planned, reactive and compliance-led plumbing works across fit out projects on LLED sites.

You will be expected to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team. With a proactive outlook and ability to work safely at all times, successful candidates will also possess effective communication skills with the ability to communicate verbally with colleagues and client representatives, providing a professional service that meets our clients’ requirements. It is also vital that any applicants are conversant with current regulations and standards and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

As a Plumber, you must be a strong team player with a positive and flexible attitude. You will be expected to work safely and professionally, and all works are completed to a high standard and in line with current regulations, site procedures and client requirements.

You are expected to be part of an “On-call Rota” system you will be on call 24/7 from a Friday-Friday once in as little as every 4 weeks where you will get a retainer fee and enhanced rates for working out of hours.

You will be mostly doing your core trade but there will be times where you be expected to turn your hand to other trades via our Job Management system.

Minimum certification

· Recognised plumbing qualification, such as SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent

· Valid CSCS/ECS or equivalent site safety card

· Relevant experience working in commercial, industrial or healthcare environments

· Additional site-specific training and certification will be provided where relevant

Key Tasks

· Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across LLED sites

· Install, repair, maintain and test hot and cold water systems, sanitary ware, pipework, valves and associated plant

· Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while minimising disruption to clients, patients, staff and building users

· Work in line with health and safety procedures, infection prevention requirements and hospital site protocols

· Complete accurate records, job reports and compliance documentation as required

Skills

· Strong plumbing fault-finding and maintenance skills

· Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider team

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices

· Good communication and customer service skills, particularly in live healthcare environments

Job Requirements

· Advanced or time-served plumbing qualification, such as SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

· Full valid UK driving licence

· Experience working in occupied commercial buildings or other sensitive environments

· Ability to follow safe systems of work, permit requirements and site-specific procedures

Essential requirements

· Full valid UK driving licence

· Industry recognised plumbing trade qualification or time-served experience

· Demonstrable experience delivering high-quality plumbing works in fast-paced, client-facing environments

· Willingness to work across LLED sites
