Job Description
Health and Wellness Center Manager
Optimum Human | Albuquerque, New Mexico
Why This Role Matters
The experience a client has at Optimum—from the moment they walk in to the outcome they leave with—is shaped by how this center operates. And how the center operates is determined by who leads it.
Optimum Human is a world-class integrated health and wellness platform: medical aesthetics, advanced recovery, biohacking, hormone optimization, longevity, and human performance all under one roof. Delivering on that promise requires more than talented clinicians and cutting-edge technology. It requires a leader who can build and run the operational infrastructure, develop a high-performance team, and create a client experience that turns first visits into long-term relationships.
The Health and Wellness Center Manager will own that mandate—overseeing daily operations, leading the team, managing the business, and ensuring every part of the center runs at the standard the Optimum brand demands. We hire for attitude and aptitude above all else. Credentials matter, but who you are and how you grow matter more.
Who We Are
Southwest Women’s Oncology (SWWO) is New Mexico’s leading gynecologic oncology practice, delivering advanced cancer care with skill, courage, and compassion.
Optimum Human and Optimum Infusion extend that mission into performance medicine, infusion services, longevity, recovery, hormone optimization, medical weight loss, peptide therapies, hyperbaric medicine, aesthetics, and human performance.
Together, we operate as a single integrated platform committed to one mission:
To deliver new possibilities in medical care, human performance, and health by uniting passion, knowledge, and precision into something greater than the sum of its parts.
The Opportunity
The Health and Wellness Center Manager is the operational leader of the Optimum Human center—responsible for the day-to-day performance of all business units, the development of the team, the satisfaction of every client, and the financial health of the operation.
You will work closely with:
• The Chairman and executive leadership team on organizational objectives, strategy, and key results
• Clinical and medical staff on service delivery standards, client care protocols, and cross-functional collaboration
• Department leads and front-line team members on daily operations, performance expectations, and team development
• Finance and administrative leadership on budget management, KPI tracking, and operational reporting
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set the standard, build the systems, and show up every day as the culture carrier for a team that is delivering something genuinely exceptional.
What You’ll Own
Operations & Service Excellence
• Oversee daily operations across all Optimum Human business units, ensuring efficiency, consistency, quality, and scalability.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Optimum Human’s mission, brand standards, and growth goals.
• Create written systems, processes, and procedures that drive operational excellence and reduce dependency on institutional knowledge.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to continuously enhance service delivery and the client experience.
Client Experience & Brand Representation
• Build and maintain strong client relationships that promote loyalty, retention, and repeat business.
• Represent Optimum Human as a brand ambassador—embodying and reinforcing the values, standards, and mission of the organization in every interaction.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for exceptional care, consistently ensuring client comfort, well-being, and satisfaction at every touchpoint.
• Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, manage, and develop a diverse team—fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
• Coach and mentor team members with a genuine investment in their professional growth and long-term success.
• Resolve personnel and operational issues effectively and promptly, addressing conflict directly and constructively.
• Maintain a proactive commitment to continuous education and innovation, ensuring the team stays current on best practices and emerging technologies.
Financial & Operational Performance
• Manage budgets, resources, and KPIs to ensure financial health and operational success across all business units.
• Collaborate with the executive team to define organizational objectives, track key results, and drive accountability.
• Monitor center performance metrics and deliver clear, actionable reporting to leadership.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
• Deep orientation to operations, team, client base, service lines, and business performance across all units completed.
• Key relationships established with executive leadership, clinical staff, department leads, and the broader team.
• Priority gaps in operational systems, team performance, and client experience identified with a remediation plan underway.
First 6 Months
• Operational standards tightened and documented—systems, processes, and procedures in place across all business units.
• Team performance elevated through clearer expectations, active coaching, and stronger accountability structures.
• Measurable improvement in client satisfaction, retention, and center performance metrics.
First Year
• Recognized as the operational backbone of Optimum Human—trusted by the executive team, relied on by the clinical team, and respected by every member of the center.
• Sustainable operational infrastructure built that supports growth, scales with demand, and no longer depends on any single person.
• Consistently embodying the Optimum Standard.
Who Thrives Here
We want people who bring relentless positivity, a hunger to learn, and the drive to elevate everyone around them. You will likely thrive if:
• You take ownership rather than waiting for direction.
• You believe details matter.
• You enjoy solving problems and seek continuous improvement.
• You care deeply about patients and their families.
• You value teamwork and accountability equally.
• You’re coachable, curious, and committed to mastery.
What You Bring
Required

• Demonstrated ability to create systems, processes, and written procedures that drive organizational efficiency.
• Exceptional communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills with a direct and constructive leadership style.
• Experience leading operational turnarounds or rebuilding service and performance standards in an underperforming environment.
Preferred
• Experience in medical spa, integrative medicine, concierge health, or wellness center operations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements in a clinical or wellness setting.
• Experience implementing technology platforms or innovation programs that improved service delivery or client experience.
