Position Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Moveras. The Quality Control Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our products by performing rigorous inspections, testing, and monitoring throughout the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive components, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining the highest levels of product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and non-routine inspections of automotive transmission components and final assemblies to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
  • Conduct quality tests, including performance, durability, and functionality testing, on remanufactured transmission units.
  • Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities found during inspections, and work closely with production teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure that all inspection procedures are followed in line with established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and standards.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports for management review.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards, making recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to address any quality concerns and improve product quality.
  • Provide training to staff on quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in a related field (e.g., Automotive Technology, Engineering) preferred.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in a quality control role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, specifically transmissions, is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to [specific weight] lbs.
