Job Description

Join Our Team as a Quality Assurance Technician at AFP Advanced Food Products LLC!

Assure all products released to distribution are safe and meet all customer and regulatory requirements, while continuously improving product and material quality to reduce operating costs and meet customer expectations.

A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With:

• Test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality specifications and identify potential issues.

• Perform laboratory testing including pH, solids, density, temperature, salt, fat, protein, viscosity, and Vitamin C analysis.

• Inspect package integrity, labels, coding, and finished product packaging to ensure product safety and accuracy.

• Conduct incoming inspection of trucks for cleanliness and pest control compliance.

• Perform production line clearances before and after manufacturing runs.

• Complete, maintain, and review testing records, reports, and quality documentation.

• Enter and manage quality data within computer systems and databases.

• Manage product hold, release, and rejection status activities and ensure proper disposition of finished goods.

• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly quality reports.

• Send samples to customers and support customer quality requirements.

• Alert production personnel and supervisors when quality issues are identified through testing or record review

• Maintain product specifications and quality database systems.

• Support packaging specification management and collaborate with suppliers on quality improvements.

• Review production records to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and food safety requirements.

• Flexibility with work schedule is required. This includes working varied hours and weekends as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing, reporting, and documentation

• Computer proficiency, specifically in spreadsheet and database management.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to interpret data, quality standards, and written documentation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Hours (OT/ Weekend work as needed)

• 1st shift: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

• 2nd shift: 03:30 PM - 11:00 PM
